Middle Eastern Business Association
@ UC Berkeley
Established in 2020, the Middle Eastern Business Association (MEBA) is the first UC Berkeley business organization focused on harnessing the Middle Eastern/North African community with the resources needed to excel in the workplace. MEBA was founded with the intention of increasing representation in the workforce by fostering an inclusive community and providing professional development resources for the Middle Eastern student population.
-
Every MEBA General Member will have access to an extensive resource pool that will enable them to strengthen the skills relevant to their desired career path. This includes a semester-long education program, bi-weekly workshops, and access to one-on-one conversations with recruiters from varying industries.
-
All general members will have the opportunity to opt into study groups for their courses, in addition to gaining access to our pool of course resources. Members intending to take the GMAT, LSAT, or MCAT will also have access to premium study tools at no cost.
-
MEBA believes its best resource is its people. Our organization hosts bi-weekly socials for all members and has a big/little system, in addition to collaborating with other MENA organizations on campus to foster a greater community for the minority MENA population on campus.
-
MEBA strongly believes in giving back to the same community that allowed them to get to the point where they are today— that’s why once a semester, we partner with UC Berkeley’s Middle East North African Retention Center to fundraise for a MENA supporting organization.
Our four core values include professional development, academic success, creating a community on campus, and leveraging our developed skills to support the greater MENA community.
